PALEOKASTRITSA.
Arguably, perhaps, the most
beautiful of the Islands' villages. A must visit sort of a place.
Situated around five coves, the village, on the northwest coast, has it
all. Secluded beaches, caves, deep clear azure waters and a mountainous
backdrop to the Ionian Sea.
There are tavernas, restaurants and beach bars for your refreshment, or
take a glass bottom boat to visit isolated beaches and caves. Or perhaps
you would fancy a beach B-B-Q. Its all here. We take you up to the old
monastery, where you can soak up the peace and quiet of a religious
lifestyle that has remained unchanged for hundreds of years. |
